Imperium BP97 Sport

Approved Barock Pinto Stallion

Imperium BP97  is a stallion we were waiting for in Barock Pinto breeding!

Imperium BP97 is approved for breeding by the Barock Pinto Studbook.  He was purchased by Mike and Jennifer Cunningham in 2025 and imported from the Netherlands to their farm in Delaware, Ohio.  During the breeding season, Imperium will stand at stud at the Friesian Connection Stallion Station.   Imperium is homozygous tobiano and is noted for his striking blue eyes.  He is fully approved for breeding.

The impressive son of Emiel BP57 Sport with a height of 173 cm, Imperium made a big impression on both the jury and the audience at his inspection. He received a nice list of marks – a 7 for the trot, canter and legs, a 7.5 for the build and an 8.5 for breed type and a 9 for the walk. He was entered with a total of 45 points.

He can give sport, breed, size and size in Barock Pinto breeding.

His sire is the stallion Emiel BP57 who is Sport and approved on offspring. Emiel’s sire is the Sport Elite and Preferent Barock Pinto Grand Prix dressage stallion Alexander BP13. Alexander’s mother is Elite mare Tjarda T. fan de Boppelannen, she comes from the very strong breeding Friesian dam line, line 50 from which has produced at lot of sport horses.

Imperium’s maternal line is very interesting with a low kinship. His mother is an Elite Preferent Barock Pinto mare Salza A Hoejbjerg by the stallion Big Ben A Klila. Further down the line we see the Friesian stallions Yk 339 and Nikolaas 310. Salza is mother of 2 approved Barock Pinto stallions, 2 star, 1 provisional Elite mare and 1 first premium foal. Salza obtained her IBOP with 66 points and was Champion in Norway.

Both a sire line and a dam line that has a lot of sport and predicates. Imperium is bred from the very best animals in our studbook. He is more than just Homozygous Tobiano!

Imperium is carrier free of hydrocephalus and dwarfism.

Imperium carries 56.25% Frisian blood. In combination with a Friesian mare, the foal will always be black & white (if the mare is a carrier of the chestnut factor, 25% chance of chestnut) and have 78.12% Friesian blood. The perfect amount of Friesian blood for a real Barock Pinto.

Relationship: 9.60%

Imperium is homozygous Tobiano – so he always passes on the beautiful variegated color to his offspring.
